TO FIND THE CORCHIA’S CAVE
Approaching
Levigliani di Stazzema (LUCCA)
Levigliani in Stazzema is the starting point of the
tour to the Corchia’s cave. It is a village situated at the edge of the
Regional Park of the Apuan Alps, in the Versilian hinterland, at about 600 m
above see level. It is easily reachable by car following the provincial road of
Arni through the villages of Seravezza, Ruosino and Retignano.
Levigliani
is 24 km far from Massa, 29 km far from Viareggio, 48 km far from Lucca, 57 km
far from Pisa.

Once you have
reached Levigliani di Stazzema (LUCCA)
If you get to Levigliani by your own transport, you can leave your car or
motorbike in one of the two parking places situated both at the beginning and at
the end of the village.
Coaches can be left in the parking place in piazza P.G.Barsottini (P.G.Barsottini
Square) (side E of the village).
Tickets are on sale at the Lodge of the Park of the Apuan Alps, near the
parish church, in the centre of the village, in Via IV Novembre, n°70.
The Cave’s entrance, which is about 2 km far from Levigliani, is
reachable only by the specially provided shuttle-bus. This leaves from, and
stops at each of the five stops situated along the main road in the village.
This service is included in the admission fee.
